About
A landfill company doing IT, not an IT company learning landfills.
eLandfill exists to close the gap between the operational reality of running a site and the lean, data-driven management that regulators and owners expect — without losing the human side of the work.
Our vision
Landfill experience first, software second.
eLandfill's team combines more than 13 years of hands-on landfill operations experience with software built specifically for that work — the kind of day-to-day operational knowledge that never shows up cleanly in a spreadsheet. That's the gap eLandfill exists to close: between what operators actually do on site and the lean, data-driven management that regulators and owners expect from them.
Digitizing a landfill isn't about replacing the people who run it. It's about giving operators a system that matches how the work actually happens on site, so the technology serves the team — not the other way around.
Our philosophy
Digital transition, without losing the human side.
Most software built for landfills was designed for one layer of the job — the GIS, the compliance report, the maintenance log — not the whole operation. eLandfill was built the other way around: start from what a site actually needs day to day, and bring assets, gas, water, inspections and reporting into one place a whole team can actually use, from the office to the field.
The company
A small team, building for a specific job.
eLandfill is built by ReSource International ehf., based in Reykjavík, Iceland. In 2021, eLandfill received the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label — a recognition reserved for solutions that are both environmentally beneficial and economically viable.
